Group 15: Physicians For Peace

Group 15 Campaign Strategy Outline

“WHAT WOULD YOU TEACH________?”

For our client, Physicians for Peace, we will develop a social media strategy and campaign with two main goals: to boost user involvement for the Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts (in likes, comments, views, etc.), and to begin a campaign that asks followers to actively engage with the brand, posting their own content under a Physicians for Peace hashtag.
The campaign we develop will achieve both goals. Physicians for Peace is an organization that works to teach local healthcare professionals in developing areas the information they need to stop the spread of preventable diseases and prevent unnecessary illness or death in local populations. Physicians for Peace aims to stop these health problems at their root, rather than put a band-aid on epidemics that have already spread. The idea behind Physicians for Peace is that when one person learns something, the knowledge spreads.
To bring the organization’s purpose into our strategy, we have developed a social media campaign that incorporates their principles and focuses on teaching others. Our campaign invites followers to tell us what they would teach.
Followers will be able to post their photos and videos under the hashtag #teachforpeace answering the question “What Would You Teach?” with responses filling in the blank, such as “Math,” “Cooking,” “Singing,” “Sports,” etc. Followers will be able to fill in the blank with their passions to participate in the teaching atmosphere the organization already works to provide.
The campaign will be able to take place across all of the social media channels Physicians for Peace operates. Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook all allow users to post photos and videos now, and using a new hashtag (rather than the one the organization currently uses) will allow us to both specialize the campaign and track the engagement of just the campaign to see its success over time.
We have designated each of the five team members to complete the different tasks that we will bring together for the final project. Our group’s sample Tweets, Facebook, Media, and Instagram posts will be created by Kemal, Kat, and Hannah. Implementation of creating social media, videos, and pictures have already begun. The remaining tasks are as follows:

Looks like you have a great plan. Way to go. Great also that everyone seems to be on board!
